Off the Clock: Kevin’s RV Trip in Texas & Oklahoma

In March, I rented an RV for the first time, and explored some beautiful regional parks. We started out by driving 6 hours to Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle. Palo Duro is the nation’s second largest canyon (2nd only to the Grand Canyon). The landscape was beautiful, and there was plenty of hiking and mountain biking to be had. Then we drove the short distance to Caprock Canyons State Park, which I now refer to as Texas’ best kept secret. Beautiful, bright-red sandstone cliffs and over 90 miles of remote, rugged hiking and biking trails. Finally, we headed up to southwestern Oklahoma to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge where we went hiking among the giant granite boulders that make up this ancient mountain range. I hope you enjoy these photos!
